Residency Period: January – June
Application Deadline: December 16, 2024
WCCD invites applications from working-class performers for an upcoming residency in our Studios at SET Woolwich. This opportunity is designed for performers who rarely have access to a dedicated, long-term creative space and are ready to explore, connect, and create in a supportive environment.
Since 2021, the Working Class Creatives Database has hosted 12 artist residencies at SET Woolwich, focusing on supporting those who often face barriers in accessing studio spaces. This time, we’re prioritising performers from working-class backgrounds offering a rare chance for performers to ground their practice in one place for an extended period.
Residency Includes
A dedicated studio space in our WCCD Studio at SET Woolwich for 6 Months.
Access to a larger space in January, with the option to participate in a performance event at the end of the month.
Community and Conversations: you’ll be part of a lively creative environment with other artists, opening up possibilities for peer support and exchange. Through the WCCD team and fellow residents, there will be opportunities for connection, shared insights, and meaningful discussions around the experiences and challenges of working-class performers. This residency offers both space and a chance to engage with a supportive community.
