Pathways into Creative Industries: Insights from Alex Zawadski, Bella Bonner-Evans, and Ell Pennick

Thur 20th June 2024

6.30pm - 7.30pm GMT (1 hr)

From our members survey released back in October, it became evident that our members wanted to learn more about how other working class people got to where they are within creative industries.

In this Access session Alex Zawadski, Bella Bonner-Evans and Ell Pennick will talk us through their individual journey into the creative industry as well as discussing WCCD members’ questions surrounding jobs within the arts, creative leadership, network building and gallery representation.

SUPPORT WORKING CLASS CREATIVES (1).png

'Working Class Creatives' responds to a need which is too often overlooked in the arts; that of the barriers facing working-class artists from getting on in our sector. They are instrumental in initiating much-needed change that will see the art world become more inclusive and reflect the society it purports to serve. I often search their database in my research, it is a vital resource for any arts professional working in culture today. That they have got this far on so little financial resource is remarkable and I am excited to see what they will achieve with further support.” Beth Hughes, Curator, Arts Council Collection.
