Tina is a disabled, working class, self-taught artist from a small mining village in North Wales. Her current work explores body image and her lived experience as a disabled woman through language and figurative work challenging perceptions in the representation of the female body. Through an almost subconscious process, images unfold on the page referencing biographical memories, ideas, fantasy and her response.
Tina sometimes applies collage and text that connects to a particular visual image and employs a wide variety of techniques to explore this through oils, acrylics, drawing inks, pens, and a variety of mixed media.
