Theatre Maker

Location:

ABOUT:

Hello! My name is Susanna, but you can call me Suzee. I'm a neurodivergent theatre-maker and professional idiot based in Manchester.

I studied at the University of Salford with a 1:1 in Performance: Drama and Theatre, and have completed two years of theatre training with Philippe Gaulier as well as training with some of the most prominent theatre practitioners.

My current work includes Landfill of Memories which is a show about my relationship with hoarding and grief and where I shred real memories live in the performance and recount to how I got to be there. I am known for my mighty and energetic performances and individual acting style. I make work that is provocative, stimulating, thrilling, and most importantly, fun for audiences to experience. I enjoy making work with diverse communities and making work for social change.

SUPPORT WORKING CLASS CREATIVES (1).png

'Working Class Creatives' responds to a need which is too often overlooked in the arts; that of the barriers facing working-class artists from getting on in our sector. They are instrumental in initiating much-needed change that will see the art world become more inclusive and reflect the society it purports to serve. I often search their database in my research, it is a vital resource for any arts professional working in culture today. That they have got this far on so little financial resource is remarkable and I am excited to see what they will achieve with further support.” Beth Hughes, Curator, Arts Council Collection.
