Discipline:

Visual artist, photographer

Location:

ABOUT:

I am a London born artist and photographer – I use my art and photography as an outlet or reaction. I am passionate about art and how it can help people express, create a voice, or enhance wellbeing. My work is often autobiographical and extremely emotive. It is important that my work represents real life and emotion. I use various techniques and mixed mediums until I have got her required effect. I like layers and cracks and celebrate non perfection, both my photography and painting has been described as ‘gritty realist’ exposing issues and voices that challenge.

SUPPORT WORKING CLASS CREATIVES (1).png

'Working Class Creatives' responds to a need which is too often overlooked in the arts; that of the barriers facing working-class artists from getting on in our sector. They are instrumental in initiating much-needed change that will see the art world become more inclusive and reflect the society it purports to serve. I often search their database in my research, it is a vital resource for any arts professional working in culture today. That they have got this far on so little financial resource is remarkable and I am excited to see what they will achieve with further support.” Beth Hughes, Curator, Arts Council Collection.
